Please be careful not to Violate your companies usage policy if you are listening at work. A lot of companies don't mind if you live stream music, but then again there are some that do. If you are in doubt about your companies policy please ask a supervisor or admin, I would hate to see anyone get fired.

Many times, corporate networks block certain 'ports' or internet addresses to prevent hackers from getting in.  While this is a good practice, it does some times limit you from getting out.

If you can not listen and have tried everything else, chances are you are being fire-walled.  If you are getting timeouts (and the audio never starts), try the following procedure:

  1. Log into Live365 and click the 'My Live365' tab.

  2. A new set of tabs will come up below those.  Click the 'Listen Settings' tab.

  3. Select 'Player 365' in the MP3 Player section, then click the Save Settings button at the bottom.

  4. Just under the 'Player 365' selection you just made is a link called 'Player365 Network Settings'.  Click it.

  5. In the box that pops up, click 'Specify' for 'Use Proxy Server'

  6. In the 'Host' field, type 66.119.34.38

  7. In the 'Port' field, type 80

  8. Leave the 'Buffer Size' at 4 seconds, and press the submit button.  -- NOTE:  It will appear that nothing happened.  That’s OK, just close the window.

  9. Try listening again.

If you are still having problems, your firewall may be blocking access to that particular proxy as well.  To find other proxy's, go to -> http://atomintersoft.com/products/alive-proxy/proxy-list/ Near the bottom of the page is a list of currently known public proxies.  In the right hand column you will see an address and a port.  The numbers on the left of the ":" are the IP address (or what Live365 calls the 'HOST'), and the numbers on the right of the ":" are the Port.  Substitute the 66.119.34.37 and 80 above with values from that list, and try again.

Thanks to Mike form CNOC for the tip!
